You can use the “Buy as Gift” option to send an eBook or audiobook to someone else.
The availability of a gifted title is based on the purchaser’s store region.
This means the recipient can redeem and read the gift even if they are located in a different region.
・How it works
To buy an eBook or audiobook as a gift, you can either:
1. Click the “Buy as Gift” button on each title’s details page, or
2. Tick the “Buy as Gift” checkbox on the cart page (Web Store only)
After completing your purchase, go to
More (Profile) → Gifts → Purchased
to view your gift code.
You will also receive a purchase confirmation email.
You can then share the gift code with the recipient via email, social media, or other methods.
・Steps / Flow
1. Buy as a gift
Purchase the eBook or audiobook as a gift.
– A unique gift code (redemption code) is generated for each purchase.
– You can purchase the same title as a gift multiple times, one copy per purchase.
– Each gifted eBook or audiobook generates its own unique gift code.
2. Send to recipient
Send the gift code through email, Social Media, etc.
– Gift codes are valid for 180 days from the date of purchase.
– Each gift code can be redeemed only once.
3. Recipient redeems the gift
The recipient can redeem the eBook or audiobook by entering the gift code on the Redeem Code screen (More (Profile) → Redeem Code).
– The recipient must have a BookWalker account.
– Gift codes and expiration dates can be checked under More (Profile) → Gifts.
4. Start reading
After redemption, the recipient can start reading using:
– The Web Browser Viewer or
– The BookWalker App on Android or iOS
・Important notes / Precautions
– Gift codes are valid for 180 days from purchase and can only be used once.
– Gift codes and expiration dates can be checked under More (Profile) → Gifts.
– Due to the nature of digital content, cancellations or refunds are not accepted for gift purchases. If you believe there is an issue (e.g., a technical error), please contact Customer Support.
– Limited-time bonus items (such as promotional illustrations) are not included in gifts. These bonuses are granted to the purchaser.
– Pre-order titles can also be purchased as gifts.
– Even if a title is later removed from the BookWalker store, the recipient can still redeem the gift as long as the purchase was completed before sales were suspended.
– Gift codes cannot be resold.
